Photography-Inspirations

Saul Leiter

Type of photography that one would not suspect is taken by this great photographer in 50th's to 70th's. Its "modern" looks, as considered in today's standards differs from other photography of Leiter's times. Hi compositions & the atmosphere of his pictures is really incredible, so is his approach to colours. You can tell that he begin his art career as a painter before switching to photography.

SebastiĆ£o Salgado

- a living and active brazilian photographer, he started his career as a professional photo-documentalist in 73rd, at his thirties, yet working for International Coffee Organization a year later he joined the famous Magnum agency and started working on his African assignments. This artist is solely photographing in Blank & White, his highly intimate pictures are incredibly appealing. Some critics (including my wife) accuse Salgado for depicting very unfortunate and sad moments in the most beautiful way creating dissonance in the message that the image should convey. In my personal opinion this only strengthens the impact of the image. He is know of his loyalty to the film Leica cameras, he uses M7 coupled with one of the 3 favorite lenses 28mm, 35mm and 75mm lens.

William Albert Allard

This photographer best speaks about himself, read his website and blog. Some pictures hit a hundred percent in my taste other are slightly away, but I have to admit I see a mastery of the look. Bill Allard take his photos with a film Leica R type, often shooting in low light, his full light photography is as good. I like his style.
